Retrofitted Solex 3800

On 14 June 1910, Maurice Goudard and Marcel Mennesson registered the Solex trademark. It was a trademark for ‘spare parts and accessories for cars and motorbikes, such as spark plugs, carburettors and radiators’.

In 1940, Marcel Mennesson had a prototype made of a machine with an internal combustion engine on the front.

The VéloSoleX was born.

The VéloSoleX 3800 is the brand’s most famous model. It appeared in 1966 to replace the 3300 and was produced until 1988.

Retrofitted Peugeot 103

After the 101 and 102, engineer Edmond Padovani, former technical director of motorbike manufacturer Terrot, developed a new moped for Peugeot. It saw the light of day in 1971.

The Peugeot 103 was born.

Most of the components of the 103 were manufactured in France and assembled at Mandeure in the Doubs region. Over the years, the 103 underwent major changes, both in terms of its engine and its chassis. The legendary 103 was finally withdrawn from the range in May 2017, after 46 years in existence. Euro4 anti-pollution standards were the main cause.
